Rule #1 This club is dedicated to serving God: Anyone is welcome to join, but we are about spreading the good news of Christ to everyone.
Rule #2 Treat others how you want to be treated: Rudness, bullying , or fighting will not be tolerated.
Rule #3 Be mindful of your sparring partner/demonstration partner: Communicate about how fast to practice techniques and always make sure you are mindful of your partners skill level.
Rule #4 Protective gear will be worn while sparring: We want to keep this safe as possible. Eye protection is required, gloves, arm guards, shin protectors, chest protectors and any other type of gear you can imagine is recommended.
Rule #5 Honor system: Be honest, if you are hit acknowledge the hit and let your partner know they landed a shot. It is very easy to pretend that you have not been hit, but please be honest.
Rule #6 Pay attention to those in charge: If someone is regulating your match and they call "Break" or "Stop" Then do so immediately, if you are instructed to slow down or reduce the amount of force you are using then do so.
Rule #7 Have fun!

Found For Greatness
I was always taught as a child that every gift and passion I have should be used for God, and in service to His kingdom. It has been a lesson that has stuck with me throughout my life, in every aspect, and I have been very blessed because of it. One of the biggest influences in my life besides God has ironically been Star Wars, I am a huge fan; and Star Wars has been something that has helped me in my walk with God. So for me it has been very important that my passion for Star Wars be used to glorify God, I have done that by combining my love for Star Wars with my love for martial arts. I participate in an art and a sport of led saber sparring or staged combat. Basically what is required is an led saber the hilt is typically machined aircraft aluminum, and the blade is made out of a material called polycarbonate. The blade is a heavy grade material that will withstand moderate to full contact sparring.
For safety's sake full contact dueling without some type of protective gear is discouraged, and most people are more interested in putting on shows and learning staged combat so duels can be staged that look like what we see in the films. When I started volunteering with North Coast Church JH78 ministry I discovered that many of the kids highly enjoyed sparring with the sabers and some of them have even gone on to get their own sabers. Here is a place for the dueling club to meet and showcase our mad Jedi skills!
